Obtained by chlorination of very pure linear aliphatic hydrocarbons and marketed under the name ESSECHLOR, Altair Chimica chlorinated-paraffin differ in the percentage of chlorine, from 30 to 70%, and in the length of the paraffinic chain, medium C14-17, long C18-20 and extra-long C20-30.
Essechlor chlorinated-paraffin are widely used as additives for the production of plasticized PVC, lubricant-coolant mixtures for the metal cutting and printing sector, for the formulation of paints, enamels and sealants, in the rubber and leather industry.
